Building is configurations is set from its limits definition: two large walls that are parallel to Casanova street. Southern wall is smoothly bended to generate a bigger public space, which will be the anteroom of the library. The northern wall remains straight, and parallel to the pedestrian walk, projected in the town masterplan. Between these two walls, the library program is developed in four levels that contain the different uses defined on the briefing.

The public opened areas are developed in direct contact with street. The urban space penetrates into the building to connect the south square with the pedestrian walk in the north. This makes ground floor to be splitted in two parts. On the left, there is the events area, where exhibitions, conferences, or other activities will take place; on the right there is the acces to the library, the basic services, the access point to database, the multimedia archive, and daily press.
